What departments and teams are using TOPdesk at your organisation?

Hello everyone, 

I am Niels from the TOPdesk Product Management Team. I am doing research into which use-cases are all covered by TOPdesk. Within the ESM space we tend to talk a lot about IT, facilities and HR but I know many of you have onboarded a lot of other teams as well. 

My question is, which other teams or departments did you onboard in TOPdesk as well? And how did you go about it? Was it a need for those teams or was it introduced to them?

We've added Risk Management as a department to TOPdesk to manage audit points and recurring tasks. Therefore, the Operational Management module is primarily used.

I work in Higher Ed and we’ve added the following departments:  Marketing & Communications, Residence, Procurement, HR, Health & Safety, Registrar’s Office, Cleaning & Parking Services.  Most departments came to us asking how we could help them with their services and workflows.

Another Higher Ed implementation here!

We have just have added our Placements team and we are working on adding our Student Hub team.

Going forward we are hoping to add as many of our teams in the organisation as possible onto TOPdesk.

We already have our IT teams, facilities teams, Accommodation team, and Health & Safety team already onboard. Was a lot of of demos and meetings to get them onboard but the test environment was brilliant for getting teams to see how useful TOPdesk is

Working in an educational institution, we are now introducing Topdesk in our studyadministration (already using it in IT, HR and Facility mgmt.)
The ‘old way’ of incident mgmt. through outlook mail-boxes (both shared and personal) are now being replaced by Topdesk incident mgmt. and serviceportal/forms.

I work in Higher Education
IT is our main user group, followed by HR. We also have smaller engagement from our Learning & Development, Procurement and Web teams.
HR wanted to replicate a Service Desk model so was set up pretty much the same way as It but they only wanted Call Management. 
With regards to how they were onboarded, often the request is “I want to use TOPdesk”!
I created a SSP form to gather more information of the requirements to establish whether TOPdesk was being implemented to hide a lack of processes. With L&D they have used it for about two years for one form for fee waivers but now are in the process of using it for every query
