Has anyone tried the new email designs? If so, do you have any feedback or insight so far on this feature?

I’m curious as well. I’m not using it at the moment. It’s too limited and too complex at the same time.

I have tried it. I am very let down by it actually. It's very limited, too hard to set up, and does not suit the requirements that we have. If you need a simple, one template for all, then it might be worth your time to set up.

All in all I have not been dissappointed by TOPdesk function, but this one unfortunatly has...

Hi Derek,

was this something you had to sign up for? I haven’t seen anything about this.

Thanks, Louise

I dont get it either…
The only possible thing i could think of how it worked, is like for making a static border or background.

It would have made a lot more sense if it would have worked like predefined elements, that could inserted into an email. (perhaps even nested elements?)
For example: I have to elements one named “Chat bobble as Sender” and another one named “Chat bobble as Receiver”.

Both are tables with a CSS styling that makes them look like a chat bubbles.
I would use those elements, in an automated action Email step to list through the last 5 progress trails visible to the caller, and assign each action, to either the sender or receiver bubble.
The email would communication would appear like a chat.

And if i need to tweak colors, sizes, scaling, etc. I would only need to do tweak it once for each element.

That ^^^^ would solve a lot of headaches!

Bonus thought! Element library that is community based, would be so cool, and another great way, to share ideas with other TOPdesk consumers.

Now sure how this would work @Jeppe Gents but I am intrigued by your comment and creating a community based element library? What kind of elements are you talking about? It it like html/css code to share? Or something more specific?

I believe it was mentioned in one of the newsletter emails. Our TOPdesk Account Manager mentioned it’s a relatively new feature. We’ve been considering re-formatting our emails and are considering using this feature moving forward.
