What's your biggest challenge in getting a new tool adopted?

Rolling out a new tool, application, or process is one thing. Getting your team to actually use it day to day is another challenge entirely. What tends to slow things down for you — training, timing, resistance to change, something else?

We hear this come up a lot, and we'd like a clearer picture of what's really going on.

I find it is a mixture of timing, training and resistance to change. Many people just want to continue to do what they have always done and so trying to encourage them to understand a new tool / application can be a challenge. Throw in the fact that time is very restrictive which means a lack of being able to train them up :-(  But I do find that if a tool / feature is easy to use and saves them time, they are more eager to adopt it. A great example is the Teams to TOPdesk integration. A lot of my team just created the link and started using it without the need for any indepth training - it was simple, well explained and really useful to them.
