What's the one ticket you'd love to hand off?
We're always looking for ways to make the day-to-day at the service desk a little lighter and you're the ones who know exactly where the friction really is.
Every service desk has one: the ticket that lands in your queue and you already know, word for word, how it's going to go. Maybe it's the fifth password reset before lunch. Maybe it's the same "how do I request X" question that comes in every single week, dressed up slightly differently each time. Maybe it's not even a big task, it's just one that eats ten minutes of context-switching for something that barely needed a human at all.
That's exactly what we want to hear about.
So here's our question: what's the ticket type or question you'd love to have off your plate? Not necessarily the hardest one, or the most annoying one — just the one that quietly takes up more of your day than it deserves. The one where you can predict the entire conversation from the subject line alone.
A few things that might jog your memory:
- Is it something you get asked constantly, but that has a simple, repeatable answer?
- Is it a task that involves more clicking through steps than actual thinking?
- Is it something a colleague could hand to a new starter and say "you'll learn to dread this one"?
Drop it below, the more specific, the better. Real examples of the day-to-day grind help us all understand where the biggest opportunities for improvement really are, so don't hold back.
